 We are the only adventure trekking operating agency that created its own hiking route within this beautiful valley of Lares, the Lares Trek is surrounded by Quechua communities, which would be the last Inca descendants that exist, and are located within this magical place, surrounded by immense mountains, waterfalls, snowy peaks, with rivers and lagoons on many sides, large ravines, and the most fantastic thing is the special habitat for South American camelids, llamas and alpacas, a fantastic trek if you really want to disconnect from reality, join us on this beautiful expedition into the valley of lares and get to know the depths of our culture, living with the last Inca descendants.

Itinerary

Day 1Cusco – Quiswarani– Laguna Corazon – Lares

After picking you up at your hotel we will go to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we will have a stop in the town of Calca where we will have breakfast and then continue to Quiswarani, we will start climbing gradually for 3 hours until we reach the Willqaqasa pass, (4,200 m / 13,778 feet). We continue our walk in the direction of a place totally isolated from the other communities, it is a place that only ExplorePeruTreks offers for its clients, we will walk on the blade of the mountains until we reach the Laguna Corazón, where we will have lunch and then continue descending until we reach the thermal baths of lares

After enjoying the thermal baths and completely relaxing, we take our private transport to Ollantaytambo 2.5 hours, where we have dinner in one of the restaurants of this picturesque Andean town and spend the night in our hotel.

Day 2Ollantaytambo – Inca Trail – Machu Picchu

Your guide will come to your hotel to pick you up at 5:30 am. We head towards the train station Ollantaytambo and you will have an hour on the train to enjoy the spectacular scenery of the sacred valley and its majestic Urubamba River.

Your guide will tell you where your trek begins and you will get off at the stop at km 104 , the walk ascends little by little where you will have a wide view of the Urubamba River until you reach the citadel of Wiñayhuayna (2,600 m / 8,500 feet above sea level) , after lunch, you will have a slightly flat walk to the Portal del Sol, we will have a break to appreciate this fantastic place and then descend for 45 min to the same city of Machupicchu, Take your time to enjoy this magical experience in Machupicchu before taking the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes to check into your hotel. At night you will have a delicious dinner and rest after having a day with many experiences.

*Your travel bag can be sent from the Ollantayttambo station directly to the town of Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu)

Day 3Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu -Cusco

In the morning we will have breakfast at the hotel and then take the bus that will take us back to this magical place, we can enjoy it once again but this time in its maximum splendor and with enough time, your guide will give you a complete explanation. of this magnificent place, visiting the most important precincts and temples of the Inca city of Machupicchu.

After the guided tour and finish the tour with your guide, the people who booked to visit the Huaynapicchu mountain or the Machupicchu mountain will have time to enjoy these magnificent places on their own, later after your tour please take the bus to to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and depending on the train’s departure time, it is possible that you can tour the small very touristic city of Aguas Calientes.

The train will take you to Ollantaytambo where our driver will meet you at the exit of the train station to take you back to the city of Cusco, exactly at the door of your hotel.
