If you really want to enjoy the famous Humantay lagoon, the Salkantay snow-capped mountain and walk on the ancient Inca trail and enter Machu Picchu through the portal of the sun, this is your best option, a route prepared especially for those who want to disconnect from the classic but still being able to enjoy those magnificent constructions that the Incas made, this road begins at the heights of the snowy Salkantay and culminates in Machupicchu, located in a tropical area and surrounded by the Urubamba river, which is one of the tributaries to the Amazon, to finally enter through the door of the sun to the sacred city of the Incas.

Day 1Cusco - Soraypampa - Humantay Lagoon - Salkantaypampa - Japanese Pampa

Our first day begins with the pick up from your hotel at 4:00 am bound for Soraypampa, which will be the beginning of our trek.

Once we arrive at Soraypampa we will have a spectacular breakfast prepared by our chef and with a majestic view of the Humantay (19,356 feet) and Salkantay (20,396 feet) mountains in front of us, later we start our 3 hour round trip trek to be able to Appreciate the spectacular humantay lagoon and then continue to our Salkantaypampa lunch point, to later continue with the uphill walk to the Japanese pampa, where we will camp with an incredible view of the Salkantay snow-capped mountain.

Day 2Pampa Japonesa - Incachiriaska - Canal Inca - Pauccarcancha

There is nothing better than waking up with a hot cup of coffee in this magnificent place, which will be served in your tent, to then organize ourselves and start our trek to our next camp.The walk from the Incachiriska pass to Sisaypata, a place to have lunch, will take about 3 hours, but everything is downhill. After lunch we continue walking for another 3 hours downhill to Paucarcancha at 3,778m/12,376ft. Our next camp where our snacks and hot drinks await us once again, also your tents will be set up and ready to rest before our dinner.

Day 3Paucarcancha - Llactapata - Km 82 - Ollantaytambo

After a well-deserved breakfast and as hosts the mountains, this day we will visit Paucarcancha an archaeological complex and also walk on a section of the Classic Inca Trail that has still been maintained for hundreds of years. Walking along this ancient path you will be impressed by the surrounding valleys and mountains, we will pass through Llactapata an incredible stone city characterized by its houses, water channels and many agricultural terraces, located in the middle of two valleys, From Llactapata we will walk for 1 hour to arrive at the lunch point, and then continue for 2 hours towards km 82, where our transport awaits us, which will not take us to the Inca town of Ollantaytambo. A magical place with Inca architecture, we will have dinner and rest for the next day to enter Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate.

Day 4Ollantaytambo- Km 104 - Wiñay Wayna - Puerta Del Sol - Machu Picchu

Your guide will come to your hotel to pick you up, your train leaves Ollantaytambo at 6:10 and you will have an hour on the train , your guide will indicate where your trek begins and you will get off at the whereabouts of km 104 (2,000 m / 6,561 feet above sea level) you will cross the Urubamba River by a beautiful pedestrian bridge.We will have lunch near the Wiñay Wayna camp, after lunch, you will have a slightly flat walk to the Portal del Sol, Take your time to enjoy this magical experience in Machu Picchu before taking the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes to check into your hotel. At night you will have a delicious dinner and rest after having a day with many experiences.

Day 5Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

In the morning we will have breakfast at the hotel and then take the bus that will take us back to this magical place, we can enjoy it once again but this time in its maximum splendor and with enough time, your guide will give you a complete explanation. of this magnificent place, visiting the most important precincts and temples of the city of Machupicchu.

After the guided tour and finish the tour with your guide, the people who booked to visit the Huaynapicchu mountain or the Machupicchu mountain will have time to enjoy these magnificent places on their own, later after your tour please take the bus to to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and depending on the train’s departure time, it is possible that you can tour the small very touristic city of Aguas Calientes.

The train will take you to Ollantaytambo where our driver will meet you at the exit of the train station to take you back to the city of Cusco, exactly at the door of your hotel.
