Cusco to Lake Titicaca package tour is an all-inclusive immersive experience to witness the best of the archeological sites and Andean culture. Accompanied by an English-speaking local tour guide you will discover the hidden gems of the former Inca empire on this seven days Cusco Titicaca tour. 

The experience begins in the Peruvian Capital city, Lima. Locally known as the city of Kings, you will have an immersive experience here which will serve as your introduction to Peru.

You will then travel to the former Inca capital and one of the historic cities in South America, Cusco. Here your experience will begin with a detailed city tour where you will be introduced to the Inca civilization.

We will then give you a guided tour of the Sacred Valley of Incas before visiting the lost city of Incas, Machu Picchu.

The seven days experience culminates with a trip from Cusco to Puno, home to the highest of the largest lakes in the world, Lake Titicaca.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Lima - Transfer to the Hotel

Arrival in Lima, meeting and welcome at the airport with our representative, transfer to your hotel and in the afternoon we will have a short tour of the beautiful streets and squares of this beautiful city.

We will visit the Parque del Amor in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, and then we will go to the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture.

Later we will go to San Isidro, financial center of the city. After this, we head to the Plaza de Armas where the Government Palace and City Hall are located. We will visit the Cathedral and explore the convent of San Francisco, built in the 17th century, to discover the mystery of its catacombs. Stay in Lima.

Day 2Transfer to Cusco - City Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, you will go to the airport to take your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel where you will have the morning to relax and refresh.

You will be picked up from the hotel at 1:30 pm to tour the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), a very important Inca sanctuary. Later, you will visit the impressive Cathedral in the main square. Our tour continues in Sacsayhuaman on a hill that looms over the city.

You will then visit the ancient Puma Temple at Qenqo, a unique limestone outcrop used for religious purposes. You will also visit Puca Pucara and the sacred springs of life and health in Tambomachay. Finally, the tour ends with a tour of the city of Cusco.

Day 3Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes (town of Machu Picchu)

The Sacred Valley of the Incas, just outside of Cusco, is a beautiful expanse of verdant farms, high terraced mountains along numerous picturesque villages that have not been moved by time. The Sacred Valley is the center of lively festivals and the best crafts in Peru.

Our first stop is the artisan capital of Peru, the small town of Pisac; It is famous for its handicraft market in the main square, busiest on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, where local natives come to sell their colorful woven fabrics, alpaca wool ponchos and fashions, antique jewelry reproductions, engraved gourds and much more. , much more.

Pisac is the best stop in Peru to take home souvenirs of your trip to family and friends. After a delicious lunch in Pisac, we will travel to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town that remains inhabited. This traditional town is a wonderful example of pre-Columbian architecture.

Here we will explore the extensive ruins that dominate the city and discuss the history and traditional beliefs of the people of the Sacred Valley. Later in the afternoon in Ollantaytambo, we will take the train to Aguas Calientes to prepare to explore Machu Picchu early the next morning.

Day 4Machu Picchu Full Day

On the fourth day, our tour guide will be waiting for us in the lobby of your hotel and will take you to the bus station where you can take the bus to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu which is also known as “The lost citadel of the Incas. ”.

The bus trip will last approximately only 30 minutes, and when you arrive at Machu Picchu, our tour guide will start to explain about the different places you are visiting in Machu Picchu. You will also have the option to climb Waynapicchu, as well as some free time to take pictures.

In the afternoon, you will return to Aguas Calientes where you will have free time to go for lunch. After lunch, our guide will take you to the train station so you can take the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy. Our transfer will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 5Cusco - Free day

Today is a free day in the Inca Imperial Capital. We will do our best to discover Cusco’s charming network of narrow streets and white adobe walls, all built on Inca stone foundations. A true fusion of cultures! Explore the many markets, churches, museums, plazas, and world-class restaurants, all within easy reach as you explore the city center on foot.

It is also recommended to go through the Inca Archaeological Museum located one block from the Plaza de Armas. Then, if time permits, visit the recently inaugurated ‘Casa Concha’, which houses hundreds of pieces taken from Machu Picchu by Hiram Bingham in 1912 and recently returned in 2011 (Centenary of the scientific discovery of Machu Picchu) to Peru by the University from Yale in the United States. State.

Also worth visiting are the colorful local market of San Pedro and the bohemian neighborhood of San Blas, full of artists, artisans and street vendors, both just minutes from the hotel.

Day 6Cusco - Puno

Departure by tourist bus to Puno. Along the way we will stop to visit the attractions that this beautiful route has to offer. First stop: Andahuaylillas to visit its beautiful chapel, then its Racchi, Temple of the Sun
