Inca Trail To Machu Picchu 4 Day

It is highly recommended to spend some time in Cusco and acclimate to the altitude to avoid altitude sickness. Hike to Huayna Picchu is definitely challenging, although if you are with a reasonable physical condition it won’t be difficult to hike.
Cusco Hotel Transfer
5:30 AM
The “D” DAY of the adventure has arrived, the pick up from your hotel in Cusco will be at 5:30 am. In the direction of the sacred valley we will stop at the Inca town of Ollantaytambo to be able to taste our breakfast (not included) and recharge energy for our first day of walking, we arrive at the town of Piskacucho (km82), where the Inca trail begins towards the stone city Machupicchu.
We pass the Piscakucho bridge and we are already inside the Inca trail, which we will follow and enjoy its charm, the first day is relatively easy since the path is gradual and flattering, on the way we will come across incredible stone constructions, such as Patallacta , an incredible stone city in the middle of 2 valleys, we will also have our lunch half way near the Salkantay river, later we will arrive at our camp (3,000m / 9,842ft) and rest. Night temperatures can reach 6ºC.
Arriving at our camp we will enjoy some hot drinks and snacks enjoying the sunset and then rest in our tents.
Wake up will be at 5:30 am. with a cup of coca tea or coffee, to then organize our teams and later to have our breakfast with the whole group, this day we will try to carry our backpack as light as possible, since it is the most difficult and also wonderful day towards the highest point of the trek, called the pass of the dead woman or warmihuañusca (4,200 m / 13,779 feet) in the Inca language, upon reaching the top we will have a well-deserved rest and enjoy this fantastic view, then we will descend towards Pacaymayo (3,550 m / 11,646 ft). for our lunch.
After enjoying our delicious lunch we will continue our trek to the second runkurakay pass (4,000 m / 13,123 ft) with a possible sighting of the Andean deer. Upon arrival at our camp, help yourself to a hot chocolate and some snacks. This camp is characterized by its cold temperature but with a super panoramic view, the temperature will be between 4ºC at night.
The green day, this walking day is characterized by the great diversity of flora and fauna, the day begins with a cup of hot tea or coffee before getting up to have our delicious breakfast, we will walk gently to a wonderful place called phuyupatamarca (3,680 m / 12,073 feet). Which means, the city above the clouds, a place with the best panoramic views that the Inca trail has, after enjoying this beautiful place we will descend the famous 3,000 steps inside the cloud forest until we reach Intipata, another fantastic Inca construction, with a spectacular view of the valley just 6km near Machupicchu, our 3rd camp is nearby, we will have lunch and dinner there, we will also have a super rest and enough time to enjoy Wiñaywayna, a magical place built by the Incas near a beautiful waterfall, tonight the temperature ranges between 13º C.
The awakening will be at 4:00 am. as always with our cup of tea or coffee, sadly the final part of the Inca trail arrives, this day we will walk towards the sun gate ,it is from this place where the great city of Machupicchu can be seen, with its magnificent mountains around it and the sacred temples that this beautiful, we will enjoy the view in the intipinku and later we will descend towards the very city of Machu Picchu (2,400 m / 7,872 feet).
Your guide will give you a complete explanation of this city visiting the temples, enclosures and most important points of Machupicchu.
After the guided tour and finish the tour with your guide, the people who booked to visit the Huaynapicchu mountain or the Machu Picchu mountain will have time to enjoy these magnificent places on their own, later after completing their tour in its entirety. Please take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and depending on the train’s departure time, you may be able to tour the small tourist town of Aguas Calientes and perhaps do some shopping.
The train will take you to Ollantaytambo where our driver will meet you at the exit of the train station to take you back to the city of Cusco, exactly at the door of your hotel.
