Itinerary

Day 1Cusco – Huaran – Cancha Cancha

Our Lares Trek to Machu Picchu begins at your hotel, we will go to the sacred valley of the Incas, we will have a stop in the town of Pisac where we will have breakfast and then continue to Huaran, we will start climbing gradually for 3 hours until we reach the small town of Cancha Cancha (3,901 m / 12,801 feet) one of the most isolated communities in the Quebrada de Huaran our camp it is surrounded by mountains and small houses of Andean people, after a magnificent day we will have our dinner and then to sleep sheltered by the stars.

  • Time: approximately 3.5 hours

Day 2Cancha Cancha – Quiswarani

The awakening will be with a cup of coffee, chocolate or coca tea, today is the day of our isolation from civilization, we will start with a delicious breakfast to start this tour that will be about 7 hours of many panoramic views, the highest point will be the pachacuteq pass (4,500 m / 14,800 ft). With impressive views of glaciers, lakes, colorful mountains, herds of llamas and alpacas. After enjoying the summit and its beautiful landscapes, we descend for 3 hours until we reach our camp located in the community of Quiswarani, (3,700 m / 12,138 feet). A beautiful place that houses the seven waterfalls, In our camp enjoy some hot drinks and snacks before dinner and then rest

Day 3Quiswarani - chakapata

The adventure continues, waking up in the middle of the mountains, this day we begin the 3-hour ascent until we reach the Willqaqasa pass, (4,200 m / 13,778 feet) enjoying a spectacular view of the colored lagoons and the snow-capped peaks of Colquecruz and Pitusiray. They are impressive snow-capped mountains to be able to admire from this point. We continue our walk in the direction of a place totally isolated from the other communities, it is a place that only our adventure agency offers, we will walk on the blade of the mountains until we reach the heart lagoon, where we will have lunch and then continue descending until we reach our camp.

Day 4Wakawasi - Ollantaytambo

Our last day inside the mountains of the Lares valley, after having our breakfast we connect with the classic Lares path that most hikers use, we will walk uphill for about 3h.30min until we reach the Ipsay pass 4,200 meters and then descend and have lunch next to the ipsaycocha lagoon, after enjoying this fantastic lunch with a spectacular view of the lagoon, we arrive at the town of Patacancha. After enjoying the thermal baths and completely relaxing, we take our private transport to Ollantaytambo 45 min, where we have dinner in one of the restaurants of this picturesque Andean town and take our train to the town of Aguas Calientes

Day 5Machu Picchu - Cusco

In the morning we will have breakfast at the hotel and then take the bus that will take us back to this magical place, we can enjoy it once again but this time in its maximum splendor and with enough time, your guide will give you a complete explanation. of this magnificent place, visiting the most important precincts and temples of the Inca city of Machupicchu.

After the guided tour and finish the tour with your guide, the people who booked to visit the Huaynapicchu mountain or the Machupicchu mountain will have time to enjoy these magnificent places on their own, later after your tour please take the bus to to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and depending on the train’s departure time, it is possible that you can tour the small very touristic city of Aguas Calientes.

The train will take you to Ollantaytambo where our driver will meet you at the exit of the train station to take you back to the city of Cusco, exactly at the door of your hotel.
